Graphical Sequencer
You use Graphical Sequencer to define a sequence for short-term mining. The sequence defines the order in which polygons or objects within a location are mined.
Graphical Sequencer consists of the:
When you select polygons or objects within a location, constant feedback is provided in the 3D Canvas and in the charts and reports. The feedback provided allows you to see the effect of each additional polygon or object you add to the sequence.
Note: If you are using a polygon file that contains multiple segments for each polygon, only the first segment of each polygon is represented in the charts, reports, or 3D Canvas.
Graphical Sequencer becomes available when a single location is selected and the location:
- mining Method is Polygons AND there are Z plane constraints or a Z block size is specified
- the mining Method is Bench Polygons and a bench height is specified
- the mining Method is Solids
Note: Graphical Sequencer is not available when multiple locations are selected or when the mining method is Benches or Whole.
To use Graphical Sequencer, you can click the Graphical Sequencer button on the Mining tab, or the Choose graphically... button the Setup Schedule > Locations tab. When Graphical Sequencer opens, the Graphical Sequencer tab appears to the right of the Setup Schedule > Locations tab and the polygons or solids of the selected location are visible in the 3D Canvas.
You cannot use Graphical Sequencer when the mining location is mined using multiple benches per polygon. To use Graphical Sequencer, you must have a single value for the Bench height. If you are mining using multiple benches per polygon and want to use Graphical Sequencer, you can replace the Bench height range with a single value, use Graphical Sequencer to create the sequence, and then replace the single value with the original Bench height range.
Graphical Sequencer uses the Z Value Constraint or, when no Z constraint is defined, the Block size Z value to create solids from the polygons and display them in the 3D Canvas. If a location is defined by constraining it between an upper and lower surface, the Z block size value defines the size of the polygons in the 3D Canvas. The size of the polygons in the 3D Canvas is not defined by the difference in elevation between the two surfaces. The values in the Charts and Reports are calculated using the surface constraints, so even though the polygons appear an incorrect size in the 3D Canvas the values in the Charts and Reports are accurate.
To apply the sequence, click OK in the upper right of the Graphical Sequencer tab. When you click OK, the sequence added to the String range or Object range field on the tab for the selected location in the Location Properties pane.
To return to the Location tab without applying the sequence, click Cancel in the upper right of the Graphical Sequencer tab.
